This list of self-help books is aimed to help children, parents and their carers with problems that may affect their health and happiness. The list of books have been carefully selected by mental health experts.

 

Many of the books in the scheme are self-help titles. They give advice and information and set the reader things to do to help them feel better. These books are available for loan from Somerset Library Service. This list is part of a 'Books on Prescription Scheme' wherein GP’s may prescribe books to support patient’s treatment for mental health concerns.
