The Smokefree Somerset Alliance works together to tackle illicit tobacco, promote smokefree living, and reduce the harm caused by smoking across Somerset. They aim to raise awareness of the dangers of exposure to tobacco smoke, particularly to babies, young people and vulnerable adults.
The Alliance has highlighted smoking in young people as an area of concern and is offering organisations in Somerset the opportunity to apply for grant funding to support preventative interventions and projects targeted young people.
Smoking in young people (aged 10-21)
Applications are invited for grants of up to £2000 to support projects that provide young people with new skills and training. Support will be given from Alliance members to help to showcase these newly developed skills through the demonstration of the dangers of tobacco to peer groups and/or local communities.
Please Note: Priority will be given to applications which provide clear evidence that the projects are led by the young people themselves.
