Free Cooking Club Training!

Free Cooking Club Training!

Would you like to establish a cooking club?

Would you like to refresh an existing club with new ideas?

Somerset Community Food is providing Cooking Club Training for school staff and anyone looking to set up a sustainable cooking club in their school or community.

Each week will focus on a different mealtime and in addition to cooking skills, advice will be given on how to establish a club, where to get funding, how to engage families and identifying ways in which the club could support all aspects of school life.

Each participating school will be given resources of £100 to support their club.

Anyone from within a school’s community could get involved in a cooking club and we welcome interest from governors, teachers, teaching assistants, young people, parents and family members. We would also welcome interest from anyone with a community role who supports the health and wellbeing of families and children. Basic cooking skills required.
